What is the first word in the term “social media?” Social. I keep digging down to find out how to do this right.

Being social over a computer is simple. Going viral… may not be so simple.

Being social is really just getting excited about other people. What makes them so cool? Are they secretly a top secret agent? Are they a SCUBA instructor? Are they a fan of Ohio State?

A frequent quote – “Everyone’s crazy on some level!” Well, everyone’s cool on some level too.

What is cool about your network?

If you run a blog, I have a thought for you. I’ll assume that you’re into social media. Get on Google+ if you are not already on it.

Under sparks, you can list interests. Google uses these as saved searches and gets info in these areas for you.

Full Tilt Poker ran a great ad for a while. Some of the speech included: “We play because poker is not a scratch-off ticket, a half-court jumper, or a knock on wood. It’s no game of luck, poker. It’s a game of patience and well-timed aggression. We know when we play, a little luck helps. But luck can’t explain why final tables have so many familiar faces.”

People who run the circles I hang in (no, they actually run them; I run IN them) seem to attract a few of the same people. Its funny to me how it works. I work hard to learn what I can. As I do this, I keep running into certain people.

Today, a man named Clint started a group on Facebook and a bunch of people joined. I know from word of mouth that he is good at what he does and that those who follow him work really hard as well.

And look at that! Hello Cyndi! Maybe great minds really do think alike! I thought they just spent too much time thinking period!
