Last June-ish, I had a conversation on twitter about bacon. Well, this was around the time Klout was getting big in our circles. You know how most of our friends are influential about real estate or social media or something professional. I have since been influential about bacon!
Around that time, I was thinking about something to easily generate engagement. I figured that something everyone loves would do this pretty easily. Well, most people enjoy bacon. You know, unless they’re vegetarian and I’m allergic to them anyway! (j/k!) It’s a long running joke that is still funny!

I’m not sure what the national craze is about. For the record, I didn’t see the super bowl ad until after and I’m not really a fan. It was weird.

How do you make bacon better? You ADD MORE BACON!!!!

We’ve been waiting patiently for Google to allow businesses to join Google+.

Today, Vic Gundotra shared the opening.

Needless to say, this is huge for businesses.

Google is notorious for rolling things out in stages and parts. Very rarely does the public get a full on opening without a beta period and this is no exception.

A couple of the brands that are in on it today are Pepsi, Toyota, and Burberry.

A quick side note, the muppets are doing a hangout this afternoon. You know, if you’ve ever wanted to chat with Kermit, here’s your chance!

Here’s the original article: ow.ly/7lDEH

This is a notorious move by Google, again, only allowing certain people/brands to join in the beginning. Small businesses, real estate pros, etc are not yet allowed. I’ll be sure to let you know when they are!

The foundation of social media strategy was, in my opinion, best said by Gary Vaynerchuk.

CARE.

That’s it! It’s all you have to do! Show people you care and they will love to be around you, work with you, and give to you.

First step:

LISTEN.

What are those around you needing? desiring? What are they excited about? What is cool about them?

Get on it!
